The spit master strikes again!
I really like this skin Kris, Thanx for sharing and thanx even more for the research you've put in to it![]()
Spitfire Vc EP305/X-Y(e) flown by (possibly) F/Off Collis of 229 Sqn from the Sicilian airfield of Comiso in July 1943.
Of note on this aircraft is that it has a black underside, with the exception of the starboard wing, which appears to be a replacement as the underside is Azure in colour.
The weathering has been removed from this wing to give the impression of a newer piece added, but with some older parts used (cannon sleave, some panels etc.). Also this wing had the yellow leading edge, not used generally in the MTO.
Many thanks to Veltro and Superaeroeo over at 150GCT for help in hammering out the details of this aircraft (there are only two B/W pics of this aircraft in excistance as far as we can find)
Included are the usual three skins, X-Y(e), one with roundels and one with only the tail flash.
Made with a template with stuff from Robo, FBS, Jester, TonyT and myself.
Uploaded here ::Flying Legends | WarBirds of WWII home page:: and will be at Mission4Today when back online.
