a good start, looks a little 2D to me (Don't worry i did the same originally) to shape the fuselage you need to add some depth either by using light or shade, apart from that its a good start![]()

These look pretty good so far
Are the images distorted, stretched out longer? The crosses and swastikas look squashed. Is this just some problem with the images shown here, did the get stretched somehow?
Just thought it should be checked.![]()
FAST AND BULBOUS!
Great start! Remember, the journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. Mind you, your first step has been a big one.
Keep it up.
Grubby.

Some comments on the shading. The undersides of the wing should be darker, as should the drop tank, which is entirely in shadow. The image I have attached isn't the best shading you will see here but illustrates the principles. The base colour is 150,150,150 - a neutral grey. If you run the the colour sampler tool from top to bottom, the very top edge is 137,137,137, that is, darker than the base colour. Just above the windows the highlight peaks at 220,220,220. At the midway point it's back around 165,165,165 and steadily darkens until about 84,84,84 at the bottom edge. Under the wing is around 68,68,68, while the shadow under the tailplane is about 15 darker than the adjoining unshaded pixels. The shadow under the tailplane is just as affected by the curvature of the fuselage as the unshaded parts, so it darkens towards the bottom.
I use pure black airbrushed at 3% pressure for shading, layering it up until I get the effect I want. The highlights are pure white. The sample here is for a metal finish, so the highlight is extra bright. It would be toned down on a painted surface but it's still brighter than the base colours.
