Thanksim not quite sure how to do that
Any tips?
Well first of make a shape the shape of the wing and delete the shadow you have for it now as its largely copying the shadows of the fuselage which it doesnt in real life. Then go on airliner.net or other photo sites and see how it is shade in real life. It sounds like a lame piece of advice and in a way it is. But that's how I do it. Also remember the there are two kinds of shadows in work. What I call "cast" shadows, the direct sharp shadow you see where there is less light but still some and "occlusion shadows" which are softer edged and appear where as good as no light reaches. You can draw both with feathered selections at this stage![]()
Also looking at your panel lines it is good that you have a white outline around them. The problem with them is they are only good for either the light or the dark colours the extend over. In photoshop there is a trick to this and you do it by setting the lighting condition. I set it to hard light. Photoshop now automatically adjusts these things for the colours they run over (In reality its way more complicated but as far as we profilers care thats close enough). I hope this is of some help!
Thanks m8Il definitely give this ago. Im only 14 and because its christmas soon i want to give this to my Grandad

I use Photoshop Cs3 Extended and you?
PS CS2It gives me an idea wether the terminology is understandable. Programs like paintshop pro use completely different names for things
If you want to take the easy route you could ask jester to do the plane for you, he has 109 templates but I would understand if you'd want to draw it yourself for your grandfather
