Seeing as the way things are going I might aswell shed light on everything for you all.
A few years ago I was pointed out, found, approached whatever you want to call it by the head of a Calendar Company. Infocado, do calendars fro Red Dwarf, Discovery Channel, Tiff Nedel and the major UK newspapers.
Well now I'm Please to announce that there will be a 2009 Calendar out this year (due to appear airshow season). This Calendar will be covering Combat Jets from early post war right up to the present day. They are all profiles and have been made by the community with names you will all recognise, Me, Jesters, Sparty and Supah. The Calendars will hopefully be out in most UK stores aswell as at airshows. I hope to announce which ones when they are finalised.
i hope you will all take pleasure in enjoying this Calendar when it comes out![]()

The fans are about halfway down the fuselage buried deep in shadow. Also, the gear well and the cockpit force the intake to divert from a being simple straight tube. The top engine is straight behind the cockpit tub, for instance.
Looking good, Sparty.
It always fascinates me to see an unusual angle on any of these birds. Nose-on with the Lightning shows up the unusual configuration and just how deep that fuselage is with the twin-stack and the belly pack. Were there any other production aircraft with this engine arrangement? The wing is a lot thicker than I would have imagined, too.
Good news on the calendar. I wonder if we'll get to see it down here. I might have to get one of you guys to procure one for me. Let me know how much they are when they come out.
Grubby.
