    Long Beach font

Does anyone have a copy of this? I can't find it anywhere. Also looking for Luftwaffe stencil fonts.

Actually, LB and Luftwaffe are available here but I've never managed to convert the files to a workable format. Anyone who can help me, please do!

    Re: Long Beach font

As far as I can tell, those aren't fonts at the site above -
They're vector files, which could be useful...but you can't type them. The one format, .ai, is Illustrator and that file looks pretty nice as far as what it contains and how it's laid out.
the .cdr is Corel Draw? The .wmf is a Windows format also.

I've never found a perfect match for Luftwaffe stencil, DIN Schablonierschrift is pretty good-

Ooops, see? I HAVE forgotten more than I ever knew,
The Luft stencil font, as well as several other similar stencil fonts are RIGHT here at Simmer's-

    Re: Long Beach font

Indeed, they're not fonts. But they can be useful.

In my case, as I don't have Illustrator, I can't use .ai (and my PS 7.0 is having difficulties importing them). I haven't managed to use the other formats as well, so I'm looking for some way to convert them.

    Re: Long Beach font

Gamary, Photoshop will read .ai files since it's another Adobe product. I click back and forth between the two programs depending upon which one will make my task easier. Save the file, open Photoshop and then find the .ai file. It SHOULD open in Photoshop. If not, let me know and I will convert them to Photoshop files for you.

That depends. His Photoshop is pretty old. The ai files probably are from a newer version, and thus his version of Photoshop might have difficulties, like he describes.

Shoot! Yer prolly right Serval. I have CS3 extended, so my files probably won't work for him. Can they be backdated somehow? I know you can do that in Word (hardly a comparison) so I was just wondering. I'd like to help the guy. Talk to Jester. I think he's running PS7 but he can read my .ai files.

    Re: Long Beach font

You might try eps format. I think that is not an Adobe standard (not sure).

Yes, the simplest solution for me would probably be to look into the eps and wmf formats. I don't have time to devote to that right now but I will ASAP and keep you posted if I find some conversion/work solution. Thanks to all for your help!

BTW, Otterkins: did you find what you wanted or is it not quite right (as BH pointed out, a font is more handy than vectors)?
