Looks like a very promising start. Maybe lower the opacity of the shading on top a bit?

Thanks Gamary, I will see how it looks with camouflage...this is early model and will be mostly olive on top...

Looking good so far guys. The only potential problem I see is that the round intake thing just under the trailing edge looks as though it's a half round intake grafted on to the boom. It's really a fully round thing separated from the boom. Maybe try some different shading solutions to show this clearer?


Also, the point where the spinner meets the cowling should be a smoother transition, no?
Of course you may be getting to that stuff anyway, being a WIP and all

Thanks fellas I will check that shading BH, Thanks...its not on this one yet...
and the dirt on panel lines may look dark, but I aim for Olive drab P-38s of 12USAAF and I checked, taht there it looks better
