Problem with rivet lines in photoshop

I'm trying to put rivets around a panel line for a photo camera panel I'm making for a P-38. The problem I'm having is my rivets are blurred and not solid black as on the template. Attached is a screen shot of what I have. I used the 1pxl brush tool (round) with 300 Spacing. I am new at this any assistance is appreciated.

Try using the pencil tool. This should give you a clean square 1 pixel mark.
