Why would I "kill" you? You are quite possibly right!
I'm far more interested in genuine constructive criticism of my work than praise, that's why I post so many WIP's.
If it was only praise that I was after, I'd ask a member of my family what they thought of the profile, they think ever thing I do is wonderful.

Hey, you've lost your prop shadow too! What is it about Mustangs and disappearing prop shadows?
Absolutely breathtaking, GFR. They have an awesome presence on the screen. I know it's such a cliche, but they are jumping off the screen! The natural metal is jst sensational.
Thanks for posting.
Grubby.
I like them. Interesting rear-view mirror on Cripes A' Mighty.![]()

These are the first two in my 'Bottisham four' series. Lou IV is just about finished as is my re-worked B/C.
Superb Work! Possible to see some detail shots?

Hi GFR,
Funny that you would be doing E2-S. I was just in the process of updating/correcting my drawing of her:
My metal work looks like crap compared to yours, so you will probably my next victim of technical theft. I'll have to study how you do it.
Among the things I corrected on the drawing is the way the wing's shadow fall on the fuselage. If you look at the trailing edge of the wing, we both initially made the same mistake. The shadow should be continuous between the wing and karman (wing fairing). It doesn't make sense otherwise.
Also, I think you will want to correct the shadow cast by the horizontal stabilizer, which doesn't seem coherent with its actual shape.
Now could we have close-ups (especially of your metal)?Pleaaaaaaaaaaaase!!!!!!

Im not sure that is such a good idea, you guys will see all the mistakes, short-cuts and obvious signs of laziness that are evident when you look at my work in real detail.
If you don't believe me look at the fundamental errors that Gaeten has pointed out in his last reply, you'd think I'd have fixed these by now I've been at it long enough, like I said...short-cuts etc.
Oh...and Gaeten, you may want to check the colour of the labels on your drop tanks.![]()
I will. Thanks for pointing it out. IIRC I used pictures from the newly-restored "Happy Jack's Go Buggy". Although it is known to be a superb restoration, I should have cross-checked with WW2 pictures as well.Oh...and Gaeten, you may want to check the colour of the labels on your drop tanks.
My first Mustang drawings were made two years ago. Since then, I've seen so many mistakes that I'm currently in the process of modifying all of my files (as can be seen on E2-S: it's not a huge difference but lots of small mistakes: prop shape, nose intake shape definition, shading, spinner shape, etc...). Quite a few of the mistakes that I'd made were corrected thanks to comments from members here on SPS.If you don't believe me look at the fundamental errors that Gaeten has pointed out in his last reply, you'd think I'd have fixed these by now I've been at it long enough, like I said...short-cuts etc.
At the level of detail we're working at, it is very difficult not to make mistakes of some sort, so I wouldn't bang myself on the head over it. Your work is already very good IMO.
And, anyway, John is here to bash our heads. That is, when he isn't roasting away on some Caribbean or Mediterranean beach.![]()
