Lookout! They found the box with the wings in, now they'll be all over the place!
That red and silver one is interesting, is that an NZ reg bird, or have some escaped to the US? The roundel is off, blue is too narrow.
The camo scheme was used for FAC training. The actual FAC role is filled by a couple of PC-9s I think. The Winjeel was in service for over twenty years!
Nearly there ...

without a hairdryer yeah lol, both made by Hunting/Percival (Later BAC)![]()
Here's the first finished one: A85-418.
I reckon that the silver looks way too washed out, it looks almost white here.
And im pretty sure that the silver Winjeel mentioned earlier in the thread, is located in the U.S. AFAIK the only Winjeel outside of Oz.
great work Grubby
thank you for the photos AGNT_Matt![]()
Very nice. The tail wheel gear seems to have very little shadow from the fuselage, should it?
just a cotton picking minute there GF,
you are illegally park!

" all aircraft will be parked with their port side showing to the viewer"

Maybe I shouldn't bring a little rain to your parade Grubby, but I thought that the photo from the rear showed what seemed to be a radial engined bird . Sure enough when I looked up the machine, twas indeed so. Your profile looks flat all the way to the front, whereas the engine cowling is actually quite round, the shape probably changing from the axe forrards I guess. The pic I looked at is on Google under 'Winjeel'. A very pretty little flyabout, I thought. Everybody should have at least one. Looks nice in blue! Daren't copy it to this page 'cos it's copyrighted.
rat.
yeah it squares off slightly under cockpit then resumes the slight curving after there... as seen here
