Is this more better? Does the cowling look rounded now? I've dropped in a few missing details too, wipers, aerials, etc.

I'm happy with the silver, GFR, the shots of the glossy one are of a restored machine and, I reckon, it's too dark. The originals are quite a flat, light, silver.

Of course, these things are completely subjective, and if you're happy with the silver, I guess that's the main thing. But...when I look at I just don't see silver, sorry.

Dunno if you have a copy of Stewart Wilson's (I reckon you have) book on the type but its got lots of nice period images for reference, in both B&W and colour.

I took this at the RAAF Museum. Probably restored, but they are usually sticklers for things like paint and markings.

I do have Mr Wilson's book and I'll be doing half a dozen variations from it.

It's a good point, Ott2. Once I am happy everything is accurate I'll fuzz up the edges a bit (That's a Photoshop technical term, you wouldn't understand). I shall avoid your advice at my own peril, I'm already on GFR's hitlist!
