    Re: F-104G Starfighter

Point taken Vacajun, will be working the tail area over anyway to add more complex shading and I will try and improve the issue you pointed out BTW Do you have more pictures of those civilian 104's? Would be cool to draw one

I have a few things for your consideration:

    1. The tip of the nose seems too dark.

    2. The shade cast by the horisontal stabilizer fades, despite the side of the rudder is straight (almost straight). In my eyes shades would only fade if they are cast on a curved surface (such as a fuselage).

    3. The horisontal stabilizer should cast some shade on the fuselage too IMO.

    4. perhaps try to enhance the ground reflection abit more...i tried it on the F-105 i´m doing at the moment and was really pleased with the result.

    Great work as always !!!
    1. Still figuring out a easy way to fix that.

    2. The further you get from the source of the shadow the lighter it tends to get.

    3. Only in desert conditions, I don't see that happening on a lot of pictures I have of dutch machines. Would also only make things too complex.

    4. I never see really strond ground reflection on painted aircraft, especially on such a matt paintscheme as the RNLAF ones.

    Re: F-104G Starfighter

I have posted several pics on the SPS Gallery which show up for a search of *F-104*. Unfortunately, the resolution of the photos has been reduced since the Gallery makeover. If you need more detail, PM me.

Thanks Kakukk Have to say Vacajun you have given me some sleepless nights by pointing out the error in the tail end, cant seem to get the transition from the round fuselage to the tail to look how I want it. Tonight I am going to do some remedial scale model building / beer drinking to see if that gives me some inspiration !

Well I still need to get some modelling done Sometimes I get the best ideas how to draw shapes when building models, it helps to visualise things. Doesn't even have to be the same type of aircraft
