USAAF unit markings??

Do any of you have any good site that have a nice supplie of USAAF unit markings ect?




Im looking for the red pony on the tail and the nose art with the pinup on the star I cant find any "good" USAAF unit sites anywear online im going nuts

Same here.... Tried to find a "bigger" redhorse without luck.

So I stretched it larger, re-trace the lines and got myself a better horse for my 55th FG skins in my Mustang skinpack.

You can google for the unit numbers.
There are some good sites like little friends with some good info.
Also browse the resources section of our links.

I did that thats the point nothing out there

but I found lots of other cool things along the way for other aircraft.

I use Serval markings in this site for the US star.

Now the reason why I didnt skin that particular a/c is the noseart

Hard to find and the profile you posted is the only source Ive got for the noseart.

Too small to retrace with sufficient details
