Re: This girl needs some loving too

I'm grateful to everybody who responded here...
I re-read everything and I think I managed (more or less) to fix everything that has been mentioned here...
The only things that I still don't like are canopy glass and the paint chips (I still can't make that natural-course-of-action look)... I think I'll have to re-do 'em... Big bolts are still missing, as well as some tail wheel details, but this one is surely comes to finish soon...

To BH: Dave, any tips how to make that bottom/main gear dirt as you made on your Zeros? Do you think it's appropriate here? And do you have any IJN stencils for spinner/fuselage?

    Sincere regards,
    Mangas.

P.S.: does anybody know smb who knows Japanese to help me to make/translate a native inscription for the print?
P.S.2: Supra, if you read this: I really need more than 3 minutes to be able to edit my posts... Pls gimme that...
I promise to use that option wisely...

regarding my rivet advice...I forgot to write, to move the below dark layer of stroken rivets in the direction of your sun one move or two (i do it at 100% scale of my drawing) pixel right and down...will add more plasticity . try it...
BTW this works for stad out rivets...for sunk rivets, try the opposite setup for colors at both layers...

Re: This girl needs some loving too

    You're improving very quickly!

I think you'll want to add a little extra work on the nose, which looks much cleaner than the rest of the fuselage. Also the highlight on the nose passes over the recess leading to the intake. You should erase the highlight there.

Looking forward to the finished product!

    You beat me to it

Uh...put them outside for a few years?
Just put some dirt on them I guess, some browns and grays etc. But keep in mind the Zero gear doors are dirty because there is exhaust blowing right over them plus all the oil that radial engines put out flows across the center of the wing. Your gear might not be quite so dirty.

Okie, fellas... Time to put an end to it... Or it'll never be released... Still don't like/not sure about many things here (especially top metal shines effects), but -- unless I made some obvious mistakes -- this is it: meet D4Y2 Prototype coded "J-DY-29" (Judi #29 ) that had been tested at the Yokosuka Naval Air Technical Arsenal:

P.S.: Since it's my 1st ever finished profile, any suggestions what to add to the background? Any inscription/note maybe? I wonder if there are any common rules for a good composition?

Well, I'm surely getting to blindness: after hours of detailed work I can't see traffic lights/glimmers when driving back home every evening -- just spots of blazing lights...
