    Re: Pilatus PC-7

    Hello Heli!

    I tried making the lifting tube white first because I agree with you it should be white however it looked really wierd especially on paintschemes that had a lot of white in them. Having it black probably isn't realistic but it does look better. Regarding the shading I am not quite sure I understand, I think it is a bit "lost in translation" feel free to comment in German if that is easier for you.

    I have edited the antennae on the underside of the EPNER machines which turns out is the french equivalent of the Empire Test Pilot School.

    A great job

    Not like so much to me, the relatively strong light edge, directly above, on the fuselage and the vertical stabilizer.
    The effect on my eye somehow too square.

    In my opinion ... the light is passing here and softer over a larger area!

    Yes ... and through the lifting hole under the elevator you can look through.
    As can be seen when viewed from the side, no black ... which is a hollow tube!

    Bye

    Hallo Lieuwe,

    Hello Lieuwe,

    my english is not good ... But Simmers happens to an English forum.
    No question, all your profiles are always drawn very well of you.
    Of course, the Pilatus PC-7 is very well done to you.
    Criticism is not for me!
    See my suggestions in the light ... we see, "helicopter Helmut Schmidt, also known as" my profiles of PC-7.
    With my eyes I see your course work slightly differently than you.
    I would draw a variety of little things differently.
    In particular, the lighting, top of the fuselage and the rudder does not naturally to me.
    Profiles are drawn one-dimensional, such as technical drawings ... without perspective.
    Therefore, one can understand, for example through the siphon tube through ... on the other side.
    Only by the colors, light and shadow, they look plastic.
    But clearly, you see your work with your eyes ... and you must be pleased with her.

    You are definitely a very good artist

    Bye Heli

    To a degree Helmut I think you are right, the only reason those highlights are so close feathered is because I was trying to simulate a high gloss finish. On the white EPNER machines that is as good as impossible because the high lights fall away. On my next project I will try a different approach to this!

    Here is a test of the Swiss current paintscheme;

    And ofcourse the earlier bright orange Swiss AF Paintscheme;

    The black cheatline on the fuselage messes in with the reflections in a way that doesn't quite please me. Also both these will have to have their antennae corrected to the correct configuration.

    A new airforce for me, I had never drawn a Malaysian aircraft;

    Again just a paintscheme, will have to sort out the forrest beneath the belly for this to be final.

    I got tired of doing all the details and did some work on a paintscheme for the RAAF test unit ARDU, the serial number is probably not the correct font though.
