Hi Guys,
I got a few more bits bolted on. Not at all happy with the prop. It's meant to be polished metal, but it just looks a mess at the moment.
Grubby.
All the time. And the reverse too on rare occasions. The Corsair used to be one of my favorite birds, until I started making one in 3D. Then I realised how overcomplicated it is and how much the engineers messed with the design to make it all work. I started in 2005 and it still ain't finished...
Although in general I am not a fan of Cessnas (civvie crates and all), the 195 was love at first sight. What a beautiful design and doesn't she look absolutely gorgeous in polished silver? And that classic cowling design. I love it.
Incidentally I have a pretty decent looking (I didn't measure it) scale drawing of it somewhere.

... getting pretty close now ... I still have to do work on wings and windows and fix that prop.
Looking pretty nice!
Perhaps sharpen up the highlight on the cowling and spine though, as it makes the paint looks faded and matt.

Yo Grubby-dude,
Who doesn't love this classic? You have drawn one with a 330hp engine installation - note that the cowl sits a good inch higher than that of the 275 HP version which is installed on VH-VLD). The attached shot shows the 330 hp in the foreground and the one in the background is you VLD; cowl differences are apparent in the shot, also the gear legs need a more pronounced taper. Keep at it dude, LOVE this profile,
MC
Waddaya know! Right on both counts. Thanks for pointing that out, Mc, I never would have noticed. It does appear there are two types of gear strut, maybe the narrower one is used on the smaller engine?
I shall adjust!
Yo Grubby,
My pleasure Sir. I intend purchasing one of these babes in 2014/2015, that's why I like to see you get it right. If you still around Victoria then, I'll take you for a ride dude. We'll cruise the skies and post de photos for your fans to see,
