Looking excellent. Weathering a tad heavy for a service aircraft, perhaps. I like how you distorted the fuselage Hinomaru, most profiles forget this.

One crit: the "drips" from the rudder, fuselage and cockpit should be rotated to match the angle of the aircraft when parked on the ground.

the shadow from the horizontal tail is too short...should be more to the back..check it.

    Thanks for cheers/replies.
Recently I finished converting my D3A2 template into D3A1. So this one is the 1st of the Pearl Harbour attackers pack I'm currently working on...
Meet D3A1 model 11, coded BI-259, No.3 acft of the 25th section, 2nd Sqn, Soryu Carrier.
According to Osprey book "Aichi 99 Kanbaku "VAL" units 1937 - 42", this aircraft participated in the second wave of assault, crewed by Hiroe Mizutani (observer/commander) and Sadao Endo (pilot), and it attacked California battleship on December 7th:

P.S.: I can't say this is 100% what I wanted, but I did my best...
P.S.: Ronnie, if you read this - hello!

Looks great Anton - and yes I'm reading this

Perhaps the colours could be deeper still, but great job for sure!
Aviation of Japan ??????: D3A1 Colours at Pearl Harbor

Note: In case you do others, Akagi aircraft had a lighter colour. I suspect they were overpainted from aluminium rather than factory painted.
