Yeah that one's just a waste of space, to be blunt. Doesn't even look like an '88! Why go to the trouble and then screw it up this bad? At least the Russian one has the proportions right, but still a Frankenjunkers sadly.

    Re: Ju 88 A family

Guys, sorry to interupt the discussion, but can any of you who did the research on JU 88 details show me the photo of Ju 88 main landing gear tyre? I have this photo of remains, supposedly ju 88 but want to confirm...

    Re: Ju 88 A family

    Peter:

It could be a Ju88 main tyre. The large '410' text looks like the last section of the tyre's size moulded on the wall of the tyre: ???? x 410

The following aircraft had these main landing gear tyre sizes:

    He111 (late): 1140 x 410
    Ju88A-4 onwards: 1140 x 410
    Ju188: 1140 x 410

So take your pick but if a Ju88 came down in that specific area then is a good call.

Regarding the discussion on the panel on the port side below the cockpit which started around about page 8 of this topic. My source who is restoring a complete Ju88 in Norway has confirmed that the panel is the same width all the way along it's length. Optical illusion at it's most confusing it seems.
