Lol, you naughty, naughty boy, see, I knew you were the right person to ask.
There are soooooo many different types, its always an education when drawing these old uns.
I only need to draw 2 D.VIIs for the next book, but for me, this could go on and on.

Re: But these Fokkers were German

sorry I'm at work, so had to quickly send and re read.

This example is an Alb built machine, its for (I cant say at this point in time, you know how it is with publishers).

I've been given master photo's and I've basically drawn what I see, like the pit and the wheels, however on the second drawing this is more or less as you have described. The nose details on these things almost change from machine to machine from the ref I have at hand and I do have a reasonable amount.
The lozenge I have done in paths, so no messing about there, I can have any colour combinations and sizes I like, for ease of future fokkers. If you have any photographs of the nose profile to reinforce your points there I'd be interested.
I very much doubt these will be published out side of the book, so its really a personal love affair, much like the 100's of 109s I have drawn of late.
I will try and post some work later showing what I've been up to, some are interesting, some are more 109's lol, gotta love the 109.

Feck, I'm so sorry to hear that John, that would be like me having both my arms cut off, both legs and my eyes poked out!

Just for you, have some colour to pick the crap out of, hope it cheers you up

And some other crap I churned out last year.

Wow that second to last biplane is so ugly it might as well have been designed by an englishman but I believe its german. Great artwork though!

AHA!!!!! Author Laumann! Let me look through what I have tonight. I'll see what I can dig up. Is it my imagination or is that wood decking forward of the cockpit? It should be all pale green, gray, green-gray or olive brownish gray metal. Again, let me see what I can find that's specific. I've seen this plane marked as a DVII(F) 4282/18 but I don't think that could be right.
    This is interesting-

    @Supah tiz a Pizza delivery plane ;-)

@Inky, butter me up big boy.

Its ok BH, I know there is plenty wrong with it, I've also made the gauge on the struts a shade thinner, now it looks like they would snap in a light breeze.
Plenty of work yet to do lol and I'll also take a long hard look at those lozenge chips you recommended.

Link is very interesting too, many thank, I'd not seen this one yet.
