Photoshop CS2 - Probs with actions

    Hello experts,

last night as playing around with Photoshops action capability I discover a ?little? problem.

Here?s the description of what happens:

When I duplicate a layer group via actions all layers in that duplicated group having the same
name and are not accessible for the following acion commands.

    Check the picture.

Did someone of you discover the same ?
Is it a typical problem with actions ?

Any suggestions for a general workaround ?

P.S. I can sent you the action if you need it

    Thanks in advance

I had similar messages with downloaded actions.
I think the workaround is to duplicate the layers one by one

Re: Photoshop CS2 - Probs with actions

    Hello Serval,

it seems that this only happens if I give the duplicated group a new name during
    the recording process.

    For example:
If I duplicate a group named ?Version 1?, Photoshop ask for a name of that duplicate and suggest ?Version 1 copy?. So long as I accept that suggestion
all looks fine, but if type a new name in then the given problem occurs.

Solution: accept the name that PS wants to give for the duplicate and rename
the group with the next action command.

You mention the solution that came to my mind while reading your post.
I think that is the best option.
