    First Go - Tornado GR4

    Hi all,

Looking at some of the awesome work on here has inspired me to have a go. Vector produced in Illustrator, paths exported to Photoshop.

What do you think so far. Any pointer or tips to improve?

    Thanks for looking.

Hi Andy! It looks very interesting so far! I never did quite like the look of the Tornado in real life but your drawings look quite good

Supah, how can you not admire the Tonka, granted the GR1 and nowadays GR4 are Ugly tonkas but theres a certain beauty to them none-the-less, I'm still a fan of the old TSR2 how does that rate to tornado then supah

Supah, The TSR2 looks like the fridge itself!

    Andy, Welcome.

Looking good, Maaaate! That canopy is coming up well already. Good choice of colour. I'm a fan of the Tornado and this looks you are doing the old girl justice.

It looks to me like you don't need much help. You obviously have a good grasp of the programs and shapes and shadows. That is a fantastic effort. You are getting some real life happening there. I'm struggling to find suggestions - maybe run the highlight further down the nosecone to give it a rounder feel? It's a bit flat at the moment.

    Good on you.

    Grubby.

ooh just noticed a glaring fact, the nosecone/radome of that squadrons tornado's is infact a grey tone, the current RAF Trend

Matt, I noticed that too. I've also started laying down some special "Shiny Two" markings on the tail and blocking in pods and tanks.

Thanks for all the comments so far. I've always liked the look of Tornado, especially swept back and fully loaded.

Its a good start fer sure. I see you have the same work flow as me, mostly left to right with some random departures in between.
