    Re: CA-27 Avon Sabre

Maybe you can't use them for anything but a Sabre, but they can be cut apart and put back together to read things like "My wife is hot!" or "Yo dude. Gimme your wallet." A lot of the warning decals are common to other A/C too. Can't wait to see this beautiful aircraft finished!

    Re: CA-27 Avon Sabre

After dropping in to the museum at lunchtime and lying down in the damp grass underneath the Sabre (No, it's not a usual occurance.) I discovered why the nose door rivets weren't showing up on my photos - there aren't any! It looks like the skin has perimeter rivets, but none inside that. It must be bonded or something. Taking them out actually improved the shape considerably. Nosewheel is now complete. (Yeah, right!)

Yeah, it looks a little like a upside down winged keel surfboard at the mo.

And is it a good or bad thing to be on the "mad' list?

GFR, being on the "mad list" places you in a very exclusive club of those so rabid about their craft they really should be committed to an asylum where they can't harm themselves or anyone else. Straight jackets are to the left of the door when you come in....but don't take the blue one because it's mine! By the way Grubby, your weight bearing tire looks fine to me. What are you complaining about?
