    Jaguar - French ones

This is still very, very, early WIP, but I felt like posting it anyway. As Jesters has made splendid RAF Jaguars, I don't even intend to draw any of those, but I'm sure he'll be kind enough to let me do the French ones.

The difference between RAF and AdlA Jaguars is fairly impressive. By systematically choosing inferior engines and avionics/equipment, we Frenchmen ensured we had an airplane that was substantially inferior to the RAF version, at a similar cost. Of course, we don't do things the standard way. Or rather, the rest of the world doesn't do things the French way.

In a previous post, Jesters made a comment about the Jag having a shape and a half. He's is sooooo right. It's not easy to get this bird right.

I'll call it a day now. (Having said that I'll probably keep working at it ).

Hey Gaetan, that looks like its heading the right way. I might let you do the French Jags

Shape was a real run around for this one, but I think I got there in the end.
I know you are WIP but watch that back end, I ended up redrawing mine 5 or 6 times before I could let it go. Other than that it looks real close.

    Re: Jaguar - French ones

French pilots call it l'avion carré - the square plane. Wishful thinking.

Having compared the various line drawings to the actual aircraft, I can see that Jesters has done his homework well and not made the usual mistakes (notably a certain number of panels that show up on all plans but just don't seem to exist on the actual aircraft). I did note your comment on the back end, although I haven't revised it yet. I'm still in the early phase here, and doing bits here and there - nothing consistent or actually serious.

John, you once told me all French aircraft were ***y. Now you want a NMF Jag. Sounds suspicious.
