Looking good mate!
p.s. how about a bit more of light overall? especially intake and wings?
I like your wing shape better than mine, but I'm quite sure its not as accurate.
Just goes to show, If I saw our 2 profiles next to each other without proof, I'd swear yours was correct, not mine.
Once again I used photographs rather than line drawing, even though its a modern subject, I would not trust the lineart that I've seen for this AC.

I started with two relatively good line drawings, but these were only a base to work on. I have used quite a few pictures to try to get the shape right. What exactly do you have in mind? It's perfectly possible I've missed something important.I like your wing shape better than mine, but I'm quite sure its not as accurate.

@Ugo: you're right. The wing does need some more "sticking out". The intake also but maybe ,not as much.
Since I've spent already 7-8 hours on profiles today, I think I'll deal with it later, however.![]()
Cocorico !!!
Very nice Jaguar, Gamary. Interesting to see the different way to draw a profile. I'm waiting for the other steps, and thank for the idea of a french camouflage, nice view.
Regards.
Wlad
Due to my working on too many different projects at a time, I'm progressing very slowly on all of them. Here's an update to the Jaguar:
I've added lighting, weathering, some detail, cockpit stuffing and glass.
There are still some lighting issues I need to solve.![]()
Great work. I really like the weatering ! Can you descripe the process ?
The shadings of the intake looks abit too "edgy" to me...
About the weathering, it is incomplete for the moment but this is what I've done:
- "Scratches": rather large ones. For this I use a white brush and set the layer mode to overlay. Low opacity.
- "Scruffs" (possibly not a real word
): another fuzzy brush, again white and overlay. Low opacity.
- "Streaking": what rain does on a fuselage: vertical streaks. There are various ways to do this.
- "Noise": add pure black, generate a healthy amount of noise, lower opacity and maybe change the layer mode.
What do you mean by "too edgy"?
More detail work, mostly antennaes, panel lines and stenciling. Here's a close-up of the cockpit area:

GM,
Ohh, so nice! Great texturing!
I agree with the "edgy" intake shadow on the fuselage beneath it. Makes the intake look square edged in taper, which it's not. Maybe more curvature needed? Hope I've made myself clear.
In any event, you're like the Energizer Bunny-you just keep getting better and better!![]()
