Revised as promised ... I was mucking around with an extra Overlay layer, but I stopped that. It was looking gaudy. This still doesn't look like it does on in Photoshop. Maybe it's the JPEG-ing.

Is it painted blue on the upper surfaces and tail, or is the whole thing (minus the markings of course) bare metal? I think, if the a/c is in fact all bare metal, that the blue color seems too bright or is a funky shade. I know that I struggled with the same thing when working on the F-104.
If it's a color issue with the Jpeg, then might I suggest you export as a PNG? The quality seems to be much better.
