Hi guys,
Another ongoing project (I must have at least ten by now):
It's surprising how hard it is to find good reference pictures for the earlier Mustang models. If anyone has some good views of the canopy (Malcolm and standard models), I'd be very interested. I know John and Joe must have that hidden in some secret file/drawer.
Actually, this isn't a new project by an evolution of my earlier P-51D/K template. I hesitated, not knowing whether it would be simpler to modify the existing template or to start from scratch. That is why this bird still has the D-model wing.

Good start gamary!
Thanks a lot, GFR! These will come in very handy! That good B&W picture of the Malcolm hood also shows why it was so popular: the improvement in visibility for the pilot must have been quite impressive!

@ Joe and Jarink: thanks for that feedback. I wasn't happy with the looks of it, and thought it had something funny. I suspect you guys are right. Just to be sure to get it perfectly right, would you guys mind being even more specific? I'd appreciate that a lot.
@ Peter: Reply on its way. We should be able to work something out.
@ BH: yep, those would be nice ones to draw. Remind me in due time, will ya?
