The wingtip (trailing edge) seems a little odd. Should it be rounder or could it be that the design was like that (i.e. ugly IMHO)?
Not a criticism: just asking...
The Loan Aranger strikes again! Just about finished this series now. It's been a grueling ride, but I won't give up on it!!!

I'm pretty sure that's right. Or at least the general line is right. There is that flat bit between the tip and aileron.
FAST AND BULBOUS!
I dunno Gammy. Photos from this angle are notoriously rare, and you know me. I don't trust ANYBODY'S line drawings. Hell, sometimes I don't even trust my own! I'm keeping an eye open on it, but at the moment that seems to have been the correct shape. I'm doing this by orthographic projection, but I'll have to try Jester's little trick of squashing the top view down to side elevation height and see how it stacks up to the side profile. I'm pretty sure those are like 95% dead on. Still a WIP, but once I sink my teeth into something I won't let go until I'm satisfied I've done the best I can. Wings are pretty tough for me as they are, without exception, distorted in photos and that's all I work from.
Les grands esprits se rencontrent. I do the same thing with mine when I need to do three-view drawings. The results are often very surprising!Jester's little trick of squashing the top view down to side elevation height and see how it stacks up to the side profile.![]()
You have my admiration, its obviously a huge job, that I could never ever contemplate.
Maybe sometime, you'll let me half-finish one.![]()
For the moment I'm going to leave the top view alone and work on the lower view and then compare the two and see what makes sense. I know the fuselage lines are correct, but the wing and tail panel lines have me a bit flummoxed. I don't have any dimensions to work with on this one (other than total wing span), and I don't have any top or bottom photos that give me these either....so I'm kinda flying blind at the moment. Guess I'll just have to use the Force on this one. Where's Obiwan when you need him? I've been at this for a very long time, but I'm not about to quit.
@ Gammy: "Les grands esprits se rencontrent." Je ne comprende vous. Anglais, Merci. Le Francais dit moi c'est pathetique.
@ GFR: It'd be nice to see you tackle it.....but only if you intend to finish it.
Literally: Great minds meet. Mostly meaning they have the same ideas. It's fairly hard to get great minds to physically meet. Unless you manage to get Einstein to drastically engage in a headbutting contest with Prokofiev or something like that."Les grands esprits se rencontrent."
Years ago, I actually had a kid in my scout troupe who would shriek "I'm a woodpecker!" and violently slam his head into trees. The trees generally won the contest, benevolently looking down on the unconscious moron at their feet (/roots). The keenest observers would point out that the kid in question was hardly a great mind, so the saying doesn't quite apply here.
Same kid then decided to diversify, and began being a mole, striking the ground with his head. This, we thought, was good because soft earth causes less damage than your typical centennial oak. Unfortunately, a new kid arrived and adhered to this practice. They then decided they were bulls, and would knock each other out in the same fashion.
This is a true story. Gosh, those were the days.![]()
Maybe somebody out there can fill in some of the blanks for me here. I'm not even sure if the dimensions I do have were made on the dihedral or horizontally. Dimensions on this beast are notoriously rare.
