Re: Meanwhile back at the ranch....

    Well...
An Ableitblech is a deflector or diverter (in this case I would go with deflector).
    A Verkleidung is a fairing.
The Verrietgelungsbolzen are locking bolts (or something very similar)

I think that the translated labels on the above picture are horribly misspelled.

Thanks Simon! As to the spelling VT, the book was written and produced in Germany so it has not been translated from some other language into German. I must admit though that the spelling IS rather odd! Doesn't help trying to translate for sure.

Re: Meanwhile back at the ranch....

Working on some details for a change. I needed a rest from full blown profiles, so I thought doing smaller details for a change would be easier. Guess what....it ain't! I took on the Mk 108 Autokanone because it fits with both the 109's and the 190's I've already done. Four days later.......

Anybody have any idea what the hind end of this beast looks like WITHOUT all the mounting hardware?

There ain't. Just plugging thru these one at a time as I get to them. Sorry Clint, I have all those images and they include the mounting hardware except for the B&W image which is so underexposed you can't make out detail. Nice shots tho...and thanks for the effort!

OK...next one I have in line. I have very good photos of this one though still some questions. Whaddaya mean "lousy rendering"? I'm best at line art. The experts have given up on teaching me how to do colour. I'm thick headed. It's still prolly the best MG 131 on the market (for free).

Nice work Otter, I'm going to mount one of these on my car ready for rush hour.
