Well by the looks of that picture it was, I wonder how he is going to taxi with his tail burried in sand and that prop like that. A 109 is a good machine to cruise the boulevard with for chicks I imagine

Worked on the canopy glass a bit. I'll be detailing the gunsight, but for now it's just blocked in with color to contrast with the glass. Fixed some fuselage shading and cleaned up the balkenkreuz. I haven't had time to do much else... busy, busy, busy.

A lot more rviting just on the canopy alone. You'll be retired by the time you get it done....but it'll be the best one in the world!

Re: The skies are full of 109's

It appears that someone over on LEMB has found another picture of Bf109E-3, W.Nr.746, Gelbe 6 of 9./JG 3, taken on Ambleteuse beach on 14 of september 1940 on an E-bay auction. Don't get your hopes up though VC it isn't that much help but interesting all the same. The chap speaks of there being 3 photos already existing of this incident I shall ask him if he can supply a different photo to the 2 we have already seen on this thread.

Re: The skies are full of 109's

There is another image of this aircraft a very nice close-up of the starboard cockpit area. Basically it is on Falcon's great Messerschmitt 109 Hanger website Here. You will have to search for the Foto it's I.D is: 5874 (there is a function to search individual foto's by there I.D.'s). I don't think you can post a link to the photos as I think Falcon is trying to stop site vistor's from posting links &/or copying the images? I would rather not post the image as Falcon may be the owner and would rather not piss him off! Have you seen this image before? Shame it is not of the other side would show the troublesome yellow triangle perfect.

No worries dude! I only found it because the guy on LEMB mentioned 3 existing photos as well as the new one off Ebay.
