    Excellent...
I would suggest to distort/blur borders of the shadows a bit...
sharp edge as you showed would be with light source too close to the object...else very nice...
aaaand there is no reflection on the glass of the nose turret???

Very nice Clint and I think its time for you to have a brew. Pkassak does have a point. I would send it, you can always mess about with it at a later date. I have a few points but they are very minor and I am sure we will all have a comment. If you think its done, its done. Only one thing for me and that is the © it does draw my eye, maybe down scale it at hang of the 0 of 2010, how pedantic is that! Other than...perfect for me.

    Re: Ju88A

Hi guys thanks for the comments so far. Hi Peter thanks for the crits with regards to the nose glazing it does have a highlight the one panel facing more towards the sun source is the highlighted panel as the rest are all mostly facing away. Also gents I've been contemplating the edges of the shadows even whilst creating them and I noticed that on 3d renders of profile views that have been created on other sites they all seem to have sharpish edges please see the images below of the best profile ever: I will feather the edges ever so slightly. They seem to be very sharpe towards the top then gradually feather towards the bottom. I wish there was a way to gradually morph a brush along a path in PS CS?

Allbeit created with 3d software what a cracker, check the shadows.
Images above created by Peter on Military Meshes see more here: Military Meshes

Also to John and Simon your comments on the front tyre have been implemented into my final draft above (bulge distortion/shading issues)

Graf: I will reduce the copyright symbol it was mainly for any sneaky eastern European websites lifting the images from here. Cheers. I think I will be having a beer.

    Anymore critiques welcomed.

    Thanks

    Clint

The profile is looking great! I'd tone down the RLM65 a bit though. The paintchips really look as bright as you have it but on a worn and used aircraft it looks too bright in my opinion.

My latest way of simulating worn RLM65 is to have a color overlay at around 3 - 7% of RGB 255, 255, 0. That is to simulate the way zinc chromate discolored early versions of RLM65. Although the formulas were changed to eliminate this problem I still think it's a pretty good way of toning down too blue RLM65.

    Cheers! / Anders

    Re: Ju88A

Pretty nice!!! But it's too small to see clearly
About the shadows, don't rely on renders, just look a real photos. There are plenty to look at. No need to look at a computer simulation when you have the real thing.
About the 65, it reminds me of museum restorations-
