    Next up a new country in the line-up, Royal Danish Air Force F-104G R-645



    The finish on these machines ranged from high gloss and really clean like this one is going to be to extremely weathered. This one still needs squadron logo's and some different sidewinders.

    A bit more done on this machine



    The orange effect on this tail area of this machine is called paintburn, something you see in WW2 aircraft near their exhausts too. This occurs when paint is heated beyond its design limit and it will either discolour or burn off. Now you don't normally see this on F-104's because Lockheed had pretty strict parameters for which paint should be used, apparently the RDAF did not adhere to this and hence the effect occuring here. The aircraft did however retain quite a high gloss finish despite of the paintburn.
