JMSmith (back by popular demand)
A much higher resolution version of that B&W photo.
This is a good picture as well, and it even has the wing racks for carrying JB-2 rockets (a copy of the V-1)
flaming hell jarink,
what other gems are you hiding![]()

I wish people would stop doing this...providing more info just when I think something is wrapped up, second time today I've had more info and need to change something.
Cracking photos though Jarink![]()
Take it for granted that it ALWAYS works like that.I wish people would stop doing this...providing more info just when I think something is wrapped up, second time today I've had more info and need to change something.
Very nice pics, Jarink. They'll be useful in due time!

There's a lot of that sort of stuff on the Edwards.af.mil site. It seems the USAAC/USAAF was in the habit of taking lots of "all around" pictures of planes during the 30s and 40s. Many of the pictures they have are of prototypes or unusual planes. I figure there's over 6500 pictures there.
Thanks for the tip, Jarink. I knew that about NASA images (the same thing, I guess...).
So far a rough change from the G to an E but please fire away with errors, can't say I've found much on the Coastal Command Mk II (E) though.
Very nice profile. Especially that white one. Congrats.
