    Re: P-38 Lightning

BTW if you want to use more then 3 GB RAM you will have to buy a 64 bit capable processor and a 64bit OS. 32bit windows OS-es will only use upto 3 GB of RAM effectively. My starfighter template is 6000px across and weighs in at about 300mb for the dutch ones. It opens quite fast on a 2,8 Ghz quad core with 8 GB of ram (windows 7 pro 64bit). I find more RAM = more fun

Wow I had a pc like that in 2000 or something like that.
I bought a PC like that 18 months ago, and will be using until 2015 at least.

Looks like everyone is a PC user, amazing the number of people who are surprised to find I use a PC instead of a mac, but they are cheaper, probably upgrade my ram in a year or so.

    John,

I saw one once being used as a doorstop. Its heavy weight highlighted its utilitarian qualities in this regard . . .

MACs look nice but not as nice as a post war British jet, built in the days when the rule was 'if it looks right, it is right' sadly not true with some lump of white plastic doorstop.

Actually, if you're not too bad with your hands, you can rather easily modify a Mac into a giant mousetrap (okay, rat-trap). You only need a couple of screws, a spring, a stick and a lump of cheese.

Not even your standard household mouse or rat expects Safari or OSX to go "snap" on you.
