    I made another one...
    it's a P-47D-22-RE of the 23rd Fighter Squadron, 36th Fighter Squadron, 9th Air Force, Le Culot Airfield (A-89), Belgium, Winter 1944 / '45

    I Seeking information about this aircraft ... I have only found two old color profiles that describe it, but no photos ... any help is welcome, thanks in advance

    Really, I think the colors look pretty good. Certainly the red and yellow are nice, any more and they would start looking fake. The OD is pretty rich even though it's faded.
    The blue looks right too, it was a pretty low-key color.

    @Santino:

    I think you should try adding some subtle weathering to make the metal surface look more irregular. Here's an exaggerated of what I do:

    The weathering includes many layers of barely noticeable effects (noise, various scratches and stains). All of these layers are so transparent that if you turn one off, you won't even notice the difference. However, when they're combined, the effect is quite noticeable. I'm not saying you should do exactly like this, but it might give you some ideas.

    Cc. the P-47's roundel, you might want to double-check it. In most cases, the left "bar" of the roundel was directly on the intercooler door and looked like this:

    It's not systematic so you have to check every time but this was the way it was usually painted on the P-47.

    Yep. I made many profiles with that mistake and I've only corrected some of them for the moment.
