    Just asking, what is the date on that star/bars drawing? You need to get the correct version for the time period you're doing. There are a few variations. For some reason that looks like the post war Korean war style markings.

    It is 1947 or later with the central red bar, but the dimensions are otherwise identical to the official* WWII markings.

    * Granted, "official" measurements were not always adhered to!
