New to me but you could be right!
I have three colour chips for Olive Drab, named "Olive Drab", "Olive Drab 613" and "Olive Drab 34087". Neither is as saturated as in the profile, but in terms of hue the latter comes close.
Do you have any colour photos clearly showing this colour by any chance?

Speaking of colour photos, here's a bunch, most well known but good to have them on a single page: http://kevsaviationpics.blogspot.nl/search/label/B-18

And a nice walkaround gallery: http://www.primeportal.net/hangar/ho...on4/b-18_bolo/

Try pushing the opacity down even further, the highlights are still too harsh, the line on the tail looks odd especially on the RCAF version.
    +1

And nice work on the feathery bird, too!

Hey Skyraider, I looked online quick but couldn't find anything. But I remember seeing chips for a early war OD that is more brown...maybe pre 1942? I might have that in a book somewhere, or maybe it was something I borrowed when I was doing skins.
I'll look into it. Maybe John knows something about this???

Thanks for the compliments, it is strange to go from a brush to a mouse. You lose so much control. Now back to aluminum overcast. Still looks to me to be flat. I softened the highlight layers, I am looking for official color chips if there is such a thing for allied a/c mainly U.S.

Looks cool, I'd lower the opacity of the highlight on the rudders leading edge a bit and put a shadow there as well that is about a third of the width of the highlight. What you lose in control you regain in repeatability with a digital workflow.

Get a Wacom Cintiq, or at the very least a normal tablet. You'll never look back, trust me.
