FAST AND BULBOUS!
Hey Dave, I was checking my Albatros pictures and found a couple of the Jasta 5 von Hippel's dragon,
with tiny little details you might consider adding-correcting in your profile.
From the first one it seems that the lower port wing had a mauve\green configuration,
so the wingtip should be mauve.
(Check the demarcation line barely visible between the two bodies)
Also check the propeller on this photo, isn't it a Garuda one?

Well now, why didn't you tell me beforeI'll fix that stuff. But I still have a problem with the wing colors. Some people say the darker color is mauve and some say it's green. I had started to think the lighter of the two colors is green. I'm still not 100% sure what is correct or if it doesn't change depending on the film used. Complicated!
Thanks Elephant![]()
FAST AND BULBOUS!
Well, I'm convinced the darker colour should be the "dark green" and the lighter one the "mauve" (lilac)...
Otherwise you should consider making another version of von Schleich's D.V with mauve upper fuselage...
And another one...
Make the comparison knowing that the tail is green already...
I have also made this pic, demonstrating values of gray in orthochromatic, comparing to real life colours...
Yellows and greens showing considerably darker than blues, mauves, pinks.

A mauve wingI wonder what the top colors are... Bob Pearson did the top as mauve too.

Gorgeous, Dave! As usual, should I add?![]()
Hey Dave, one more thing, considering the red dragon of Jasta 5
Apparently, the propeller was made by Garuda, not Axial...
