Re: In desesperate need of a P-51B profile

    Hi Jesters, and everybody !

I feel so proud and grateful when I consider the ammount of work that has been done by the community... All of you artists know how much I thank you, without forgetting the enthusiasts and historians who played their part here... The number of hits of the thread witnesses of that.

    And now... what ?

Well, a screenshot is in the making, and by my side I have written a little text depicting the event. 8000 characters, emphasizing on the event itself, trying to give the more lively account I could. It sound well enough in french - well, I think so -, but has to be properly translated in english. I'll get help from colleagues in my college in the next days.
You know that we are going te edit a little article in the local press - screenshot illustrated - and that I also want to update our webpage, and have it better illustrated (our pics are too little I'm afraid).

But the idea has been expressed to sell the whole story to some publications... What I would love to do, if I'm guaranteed to keep the rights for my webpage too. I would not do that for me, but I think the community works deserves to be known, and I'd be glad to help in that way.

So if any of you readers have connections with such magazines, that would be helpful : I'm not British nor american, can barely write in that language, but can be helped, if I'm told what a review would expect from such a story.

Thank you all for your interest.

Indeed a great profile of the bird mate!

With lots of input from Sebastien I finally finished an artwork showing "WZ-I" shortly after take-off from Campo d'Oro airfield, Ajaccio. As this isn't the screenshot topic here a link to the according post in the right section:

Cheers to everyone contributing to this interesting issue

Re: In desesperate need of a P-51B profile

    Hello everybody,

Well, that's probably the last post - at least on that thread - about our project. I managed to open a blog with texts in english, and a few new pictures... Hope you'll enjoy the reading. Had to use a few tweaks - and even to learn html basis -, so technically consider the site as a 1.0... But feedback and constructive criticism are always welcome...

    WZ-I

The blog may be updated after the 2nd diving (but when??...)... I also have to correct a few remaining things.

Thank you all for your interest ! It has been a real pleasure for me and my team !

Hi, guys, this is the russian speaking!

Much impressed with the work you've done, and with my great respect I'm requesting for your permission to translate the main items of your research into russian and disclose it at the couple of russian profile sites.

I think, that those two scuba snaps and final Jesters image will be enough with my translation.

Re: In desesperate need of a P-51B profile

This is really Sebastiens call as he is the person responsible for the project.
If he gives you his consent to run the story on your site/s then I have no problems with you showing my work. A link would be much appreciated to Military art prints in profile in return.

I am in the final proof stage with Donald Taylors P-51B, so if anyone would like one of these, please contact me here ---> jesters-ink@ntlworld.com We are charging an introduction price of ?5 plus postage. They are printed on semi gloss high quality 300gms paper with 180 year guarantee no fade.

Final proof looks like this --->
