    Yet another Me 262

Who gets tired of these? Sorry guys. I'm still in kindygarten, so no colour yet. I'll get there with help. Getting lots better in Illustrator though.

Nice "kindygarten" stuff! Looks really nice! Do you have the 4 volume Classic 262 set?
One thing that might be neat to try, see what you can come up with to indicate where filler and tape are used. Maybe by lightening those areas? Just an idea, I've never seen anyone do that before. Or maybe 2 sets of drawings, one with all the detail and one with tape and filler?
What drawings did you use as a basis? The shapes look really good

Otter is the "man" and has passed this work of art to me for some colouring.
It is very accurate as far as I can see and I am soooo looking forward to working on it.
Thx a bunch Otter, top work my man!!!

    Re: Yet another Me 262

Blowhard, it took a bajillion walkaround photos to place the rivet lines. You are right....they taped and filled the daylights out of this beast. Me being nearly blind doesnt help a lot either. Supah helped me out there though with some nice detail info. I was pretty much done by then, but his shots helped fill in a lot of blank spots. I used drawings from Aero Detail and a book by Jiri Rajlich as well as the Kageroo book to get the basic shape down. I've never seen the four volume set you mention. Jester taught me to look at pics in a different way. After a bit you are so crosseyed you don't know what you're looking at any more. Wish I could paint like you or Jester or Supah. Hell, I'm not even sure where the crayons are in this crazy box.

Gamary, you're welcome to the full sized drawing under certain conditions.

Well, with a lot of the hard work done already, its only right to get cracking.
Original drawing is so big I had to reduce it to 60% and even then it is almost edge to edge at 300dpi using A3.

Original lines and rivets used atm, these will have to be 3D's up and all that, but placement is spot on.

    <-----20% thumb.

Thanks for offering. The only problem is that I already have my hands full atm and just looking at the reduced version on this thread makes me want to start drawing 262s. So if you shared the full version, I'd probably be incapable of resisting...

That said, what I like about your plan is that it really does look natural and precise. You've caught that elegant shape perfectly.
