Keep up? I aint going anywhere fast.
Ok guys, this aircraft is a funny old shape and in the 13 or so books I have to hand, the B/W photographs aren't that good and they don't have one drawing I'd say captures the triangular shape of the 262.
So . . . its opinion time pls gents . . .
This is the new lighting I wanged on there this morning . . . .

Better than I imagined it could look without all those rivet details
One thing, the area under the trailing edge on the nacelle, it seems like it should be more sharp and deeply contoured. I could be wrong, I'm not looking at side views of this part. Just a heads-up to check it, not saying it's wrong.
I gotta say it again...WOW!!!!
FAST AND BULBOUS!
Oh, wait, where are the half round vent things at the rear of the nacelle?
I take it they just haven't been painted yet?
FAST AND BULBOUS!
Only comment I have Jester is that the wing and tail shadow needs to be blended in a bit better. Right now they are stronger than everything else. Otherwise, I'M HIPPOTIZED!!!! Awsome work and I'm glad someone decided to take advantage of my work. Up next...(if I ever get proper reference photos) a FW 190 D9 done the way it should be. Why is it that none of these famous profilers seem to pay attention to the little stuff?
WHAT?!?!?!?!? It's working perfectly!!!!I'm not so sure it is workingEspecially considering it's a WIP!
One other piece of "arm chair" "back seat" painting advice; maybe run a subtle highlight along the lower edge of the fuselage at it's widest part to show the volume of the deep triangular shape.
BTW Jester, if you need specific detail photos of any part, let me know. I've got GOBS of books on this plane. Also, I've got painting info too, I've got Classic's JV44 book along with all their other 262 books
...he doesn't think it's working...GEEZ!![]()

FAST AND BULBOUS!
Splendid work, Jesters!
I think Otterkins is right about the shadows. Also, I think you should reinforce the wing undersurface shading, which looks too blended with the shadow of the wing. Looks a bit like a flat surface.
Also, the shading under the nose looks straight. Shouldn't it be a bit curved to follow the shape? I'm no 262 expert so I can't really tell, but that's my impression.
At any rate, this is looking very promising and you're doing a splendid job!![]()
