They look very cool but also very washed out. I'd restore a bit of the colour, especially the OD.

Very Nice but I think the color it's too lightened...

Completed a re-work of the details and darkened it up a tad.

Colours may change depending on need, but I think im done with the details.

Though I am not entirely sure you got the right colours (olive drab too green, neutral gray too bright), it does look more attractive with the increased contrast.

    Here's some good OD/NG references: http://lend-lease.airforce.ru/photog...39_c/index.htm

I tend to agree with Ronnie's comment on the OD and NG.

The nice thing about OD is that it faded and changed quite quickly so you can play with the possibilities more easily than with other paints. For OD and NG, I use colour chips that were suggested to me by Roy Grinnell, and then alter them in the way I see fit.

One thing that does seem wrong to me on your profile, GFR, is the shadow cast by the prop blade on the cowling. Given the blade's angle, shouldn't the shadow be less wide?

I think so too. Aside from the colors it looks PERFECT!!!
About the OD, I think going to more brown/bronze green rather than just plain green is always a good rule of thumb. I could go either way with the gray though.

Looking fabulous, GFR. Watch your shadow angles, though. The prop, wing and tailplane all show different positions of light source.

    Re: BIG JUGGS!!!

I added the OD as prescribed in the swatches on the site and just found it looked just a little to brown (for my taste) and reduced it to about 80%.

This is just a very quick trial version, I'll make the inevitable adjustments later.

Colour has never really been my thing.

OD looks a lot better now! Grey still too bright and what happened to the cowling ring?

Nothing. The colours as they stand are generic, sometimes white sometimes red and sometimes blue.

If I ever settle on a shade of O/D i'll turn my attention to colour schemes.

Right now I'm having a massive conflict between what I see on the monitor that I produce these on and the monitor that I use to view these on-line.

Time to put it to the bottom draw and contemplate my navel for a while.
