Perhaps for a C/D or B but unless someone actually pays me to do it it won't be a priority

    Today's Update...

Loadout isn't accurate for this one, just wanted to see how it looked.
I like the addition of the falloff darkening, I'd make it darker though but then again that is just my addiction

Let me know what you find wrong, John.

And, since John's on the case, maybe I should start on a larger scale profile. This one is only around 1400 pxl from nose to tail. Might do one around 11200+. 11196 pixels would be 1px = 1/16 in. Figure I better stay with my American way of measuring things, since all the measurements in the manuals are in inches . I'll still probably keep fooling with this one for the next week or two though. At least until I've gotten some decent progress on the larger profile.

1400 pixels? Hmmm if you ever want to print it work at atleast 3500 px @ 300 DPI. Anything less is wasting your time. Better is to work a bit bigger then that like 6000px, that makes details easier to draw.

    Re: F-4B/J Phantom II

1400 pixels just happened to be the size of the line drawing I was using. I figured it'd be too small for print, but it works for web images. I have started working on the line art for the larger profile using the drawing the old profile was based on and making adjustments based on photos. Almost done, except for a few details. Hardest thing to draw is definately going to be the short burner cans of the J79-GE-8. The turkey feathers of the -10 and -15 are a lot simpler.

John must really be going over this thing with a fine tooth comb....

    Re: F-4B/J Phantom II

Since my work computer struggles to handle the load of the full size profile I've started, I've decided to work on the smaller things in life during my lunch breaks. Today, work began on the AIM-9D Sidewinder. It alone is larger than the profile I was working on at the beginning of the post (1800 pixels vs. 1400 pixels).

Yepp, just can agree Supah! Draw them larger! My first profile was also so small, but it's really much easier to draw it largen and scale down.

    BTW, nice WIP!
