Re: Bf 109 G-10 profile project

Have reworked the last profile to a G-14/AS. Very hard for me to see all these small differences in the late war 109's.

Re: Bf 109 G-10 profile project

Simon, it took a long time before I was relatively happy with my G-6's and beyond. There are so many subtle changes that it's a real quagmire to wade through, so don't be too hard on yourself. The best of us still screw up when it comes to IDing photos...often underexposed, overexposed or out of focus at that stage of the war.

Re: Bf 109 G-10 profile project

    hi folks!

got a list of corrections from a 109 expert. So no updates with new camouflage! :-(
Was my falt, because I just mirrowed Otters base drawing, but there are so many small differences. Some I have noticed, but some not.

    cheers,

Re: Bf 109 G-10 profile project

Mind sharing that info with me Simon? Ya can't morph a port side view into a starboard view. The outline may be the same, but there's a lot of detail differences. Since I haven't done a late G starboard view yet, the info would be very helpful. I'm dealing with an "Experten" too, so let's compare notes.

Re: Bf 109 G-10 profile project

    Hi folks!
Back from holidays in Austrian mountains. Today I have reworked some small details as the oil cooler under the engine and the water cooler under the wing. Hope now it's finished! Now I have to add all these details in my other 109 profiles!

Re: Bf 109 G-10 profile project

    Hello folks!

Here is a poster of a Bf 109 K-4 I finished last year. The US version was for Roger Gaemperle and his Captured Eagles book. The base drawing was made by Otterkins. I was happy that Otter got this print before he unexpectedly passed away.

Some additional infos and a larger version you will find here: Luftwaffe Aviation Art made by Simon Schatz: Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4 flown by II./JG 52, May 1945
