hi supah,
already been changed since posting, made the windows a lot darker, also when i put the highlight/shading layer on it will alter things quite a bit
here is the original porthole, and the new darker ones in situ, what do you think![]()

ok, started on the wing,
left the detail on the fuselage for a while, just to keep jester happy![]()

I'll make a few suggestions if I may. You've done a pretty good job with that wing but:
* There probably should be little or no reflected light on the underside of the wing, as the fuselage would be blocking most of it.
* The highlight on the LE of the wing should not be as bright as that on the wingtip. One of them will logically be fainter than the other, depending on where you place the sun.
* Add a tiny bit of highlight aft of the shade on the aileron hinge. (Might be there already but not visible at this size/quality, I don't know). It brings out the shape.
* Keep in mind that planning your profile drawing in advance is very important. The easiest way to painlessly draw a Short Singapore is to anticipate being asked for it and refusing out flat. Any thing short of that will result in sweat and blood, as you are probably noticing by now.![]()
hi GM,
the wings is better now i have used the same background colour as the fuselage
also still very much playing with the highlights, as this new image shows, please ignore the boldness of the float, still got to reduce by a long way, just playing to see how it looks
as for your last comment, WHY TELL ME NOW!!!!! and not before![]()

Because I didn't know there was such a thing as a Short Singapore... Sorry.WHY TELL ME NOW!!!!! and not before![]()
Besides, it's fun watching you sweat!
But in all seriousness, this is taking shape very nicely, John. It's a handsome bird.
Oh, and don't bother about the Seagull III references anymore. I ended up with a very crude trace of a photo as there is just not much info around! It's so crude that you'll never see it here!!

ok still playing,
added float supports and flying wire
for those that don't know, these were aerodynamicaly shaped, not just round wire, thats why they look thick.
yup i know the control rods for the aileron are rather bright, still playing with them![]()
