Very nice vork JMSmith![]()
This is really coming together, John! You've got some good depth-reference going on there. It's obvious what is in front of what.
Good work.
With the portholes, think of them as mirrors. The inside is so dark that the glass just bounces back whatever is outside. In this case, it's going to be water and a horizon most likely!
Grubby.
hi GF,
once i have finished playing with the marking i have to go back to the fuselage and complete all the details, and yes i agree with you they would act like mirrows
here is K3594 as she looked when she was scrapped. you will note in all of these there are changes, doing them as i play with the marking, when finished all the updates will be incorporated into the final profiles![]()

Looking mighty fine John, but it'll never get off the water without props. Waterline marking needs a bit more work to properly blend in. Other than that, I think yer pretty close to sticking a fork in it. Shows ya you don't need all the bells and whistles folks. John's working with an ancient version of Paint Shop Pro. Turned out gorgeous...so what's yer excuse for not profiling peeps if John can do it on an outdated piece of software?
Come on, Otter... It's a jet!but it'll never get off the water without props
+1 on your comment on outdated software. Photoshop 7 (2002) also yields great results!
Nice job, John.![]()
For underwing markings, the angle is such that often light reflects more on them. Try lowering the opacity of your markings to the 60-80% range and see what it looks like. I find that trick often works very well.
Decent work John!
thanks guys for your kind words,
except otter who is just a problem childoutdated software indeed, just because it's steam powered.
GM,
will try that, at the moment i am doing a camouflaged one, temperate sea scheme, just remind me never ever to do a camouflage version of a profile that was done for hi gloss silver, ever layer of highlight as had to be greatly reducedbut hey i am getting there
might even get back to the fine details again this holiday, if i can see the screen, only seven and a half bottles left.
