    Re: Short Singapore

    Hi John!

Interesting to see your WIP! The plane itself is a ugly bird, but your work looks promising. Will be a lot of work. I'm really nosy seeing all the shadows.

BTW: Could you show the profile with a white back
ground, to see how the canopy glas really looks like. At the moment it doesn't look good to me.

    Cheers,

    Re: Short Singapore

    hi simon,

thank you for those kind words

here it is with the white background, i forgot to change it ages ago, as you say the glass is very wrong, my word would be crap! i will be going back to it, it is going to be awkward because the glass itself is flat, no curve to it at all.

and for all the rest of you guys, your comments are being collected and will be acted upon when the time comes, and if this old bird don't kill me, i might just try another

Nice ribbing on the wings, John. Most convincing. Nice shading on the float, too. Very subtle.

This is most interesting. The "soup can" cockpit glass is quite normal for a bird of this size. Light flows into it from all sides, so it can be treated as a normal canopy. But what about the portholes??? Inside the fuselage there is very little ambient light....so how does one portray this? Perhaps our resident glass expert (Ugo) will chime in and enlighten us.
