Made a start on the panels. Lot more work on these to do yet. But they are all there highlighted and shaded just got to weather them really.

    Re: Ju88A

Having looked at your profile again, i came up with a suggestion, which you can use or not. try adding a stronger highlight where the lighter edge of the panel lines meets the highlight on the fuselage.

Blowhard has done that on the Zero, in the "Iīm at it again" Tread. (I hope itīs a zero, otherwise i have exposed my ignorance on this matter). I also tried to do it on the Corsair i made a few month back, but I think Blowhards texturing is very good.

I look forward to see what youīll do with the glass bits, and i also look forward to the weathering. I came up with a way to make the paint look sun bleached...I used it on teh SEA Thud i just made, let me know if you are interested in know how i got about it.

Thanks for sharing your great work !

Good idea! Yes Blowhard's Zero is special to say the least. What's your sun bleached technique then dude I'm interested.

    Cheers

    Re: Ju88A

Itīs pretty simple in fact, but i think it works good (for the SEA scheme at least).

    Hereīs how i did it:

    1. I selected the panel lines and expanded the selection by 20-30 pixels. Then inversed the selection and added about 15 pixels of feather. Last but not least i deselected the area that was outside the aircrafts

    2. So now there should be a area inside each panel thatīs selected.

    3. I made a new layer and panted the selected areas that was on the top half of the aircraft bright white, using the brush tool

    4. The layer was duplicated so i had two identical white layers.

    5. I changed the first layer properties to "overlay" and changed its opacity to about 30 %. The second layer i changed to "hard light" And set the opacity to about 20 %

    and hereīs the result:

Hope you can use this explanation in the making of your greta profile artwork !

The layers are getting crazy! I think I'm going to have to flatten a version of this off to do the weathering. I'm pushing it already with my machine. 66 layers at 9700 pixels wide. I'm proud of my old Mac.

I know ! The Thud is about 100 layers. I have devided the layers into folders. That helps to keep track of the layers

Mine are in Sub Folders already. Just my Mac is making worrying noises. The kind of tell tale noises where an imminent crash is expected when I save next.
