Start on an early sidewinder, I think it looks good on this machineThey also sometimes carried them under the wing pylons for subsonic trips, perhaps I will do one of those too.
Oooh now that one is nice, was the arrestor hook for deck landings or just on a frozen fjord or am I seeing things?
Only for use on landbases, if the brakes failed or the aircraft came in at to high a speed to use its brakes safely it would lower its hook and engage the carrier style wire each NATO airbase has at a runway end, their called the Barrier. It isn't good for the airframe to do this and most of the time the aircraft needs full inspection afterwards but it can safe your life. My uncle lost 3 friends in the airforce due to runway overruns. The canopy can't carry the weight of the aircraft and if it rolls over on its back you run the risk of being crushed, especially in a F-16. If a runway overrun is emminent in a F-16 a lot of folks advice ejection![]()
Cheers, didn't think they'd be up to carrier ops, but if you can get a C130 on/off a carrier anything is possible, wonder if it was tried in a moment of madness!
Phantastic work Supah!
Lieuwe, Lieuwe, Lieuwe...I dont think there is a limit john
Why do you say such things? Don't you remember what your parents taught you? If you play with fire, you'll get burned. You can't just go around daring John like that. The man will flood your email box to the point where you will be permanently banned from GMail or whatever email service you're using.
BTW John, some file uploading websites will pay you when people download your files. Since you're the official line art supplier to the world, maybe you should consider it.![]()
