Yer a killjoy BH. I may be an ex zipperhead, but I'll be god damned if I'm going to shift those tracks yet again. Absolutely the worst profiling I've ever done. I'll stick to aircraft from now on. By the way.....ever seen a real model close up? They look more plasticised than anything Illy does and they're real (I think....) I'm not going to enter the debate about Hendrix vs. Satriani et al. I'll go back to Big Wreck and Tea Party while yer all arguing.

NO NO!!! It's all good. Don't stop doing tanks!!!!!
But this is a good reason to learn to paint in those line drawings. You uncover this stuff as you fill everything out
Besides, I still don't know if I'll finish

I'm still not sure if this the start of the finished profile or just a test compilation

    Re: Pz. MK IV L/70

Dave, I think I'll have to drop a jillion bucks on courses before I learn to colour. This is typically sheer genius you. I don't think the actual beast ever looked that real. I dunno how to make tank sounds while playing with these, so I think I'll stick to aircraft from now on. With an airbrush and paints I have considerable skill, but this electronic digital art stuff has me completely confused. I can't even find the drawer with crayons in it

Ah, cut it out, it'll go to my head
    It'll get better, I hope.

What goes on with the return rollers of your reference Otter? I don't see those on any other late way Pz IV. Could they be restoration pieces? Or is there any war-time evidence of that style return roller?
I've done the style found on most late production Pz IVs.

Actually they were copied from a restoration. I really feel a lot safer doing aircraft that I know something about. Rather surprising as I served as an armoured corps officer for some time. With all that steel they don't glide very well, but they make very good door knockers. I think the first time I commanded a Leopard I had a severe erection for several weeks afterwards. Looks like I'm stuck doing line drawings. $13,700 for a six month course??? Nuh Uh...ain't gonna happen.

Very nice! Glad to see you're persisting with it. Tanks a way more complicated than aircraft to draw.

Check out the rollers on this IV at Falaise. Look the same as what you and Otter have drawn.

C'mon Otter jump into the world of colour profiles, Photoshop really is as daunting as it looks, there are millions of tutes on-line covering the most basic of stuff. There are even a few people here that might give you a pointer or two.

Yep, that's what I've drawn. But look at these-

For some reason I'm thinking those were used on very late Stug IIIs but I haven't had time to look. I haven't found them on Pz IVs yet.

But...I just looked...which is bad since I'm at work and really behind!

So I guess I need 4 different styles of return rollers!
