Eduard is a kit manufacture that gets as extreme as we do with rivets and all. Yeah, I'd believe um and I'd love to get this kit!
John, I agree, no photo no evidence...
although in this case of Eduards Fw 190 Sturmjaeger models and instructions I would believe them. They were researched by Czech expert on Sturmjaegers, Jan Zdiarsky, from Museum of Ore Mountain Battle. He put a lot of effort into the research of Fw 190s of these units. So I assume the kit instructions would be quite accurate in this case![]()

photograph you will find in the book:"Focke Wulf Jagdflugzeug Fw 190 A Fw 190 "Dora" Ta 152H" by Peter Rodeike page 344
Plane had MK 108, additional bullet-proof glass, different spiral at the spinner, "Abgasadler", no fuselage MG... I think Claes did a good job. The photograph doesn't show the tail section. The photograph ends at the middle of the white RV-Band.
Cheers, Simon
hi guys,
just because they have a good reputation for the kits and research do's not mean they have this one correct
thanks for the heads up simon, saved me looking through all that lot, but it makes things even stranger,
first image shows and dark coloured cowling (black?) but on the second one you can clearly see a mottle camouflage on the cowling![]()

Please John remove the first photograph! It doesn't show the plane flown by Moritz. That's the plane flown by Fw. Baisch. (see the yellow spiral on the spinner)
The cowling on the second one is black! no mottle!
hi simon,
i don't read german but i could understand enough to work out the first image was not moritz plane, posted it to show the difference, i wish i could get the original image because i believe i can see mottlebut then again it could be a bacardi haze
now you know why i don't normally get involved with discussions about german camouflage, it just gives me an headache.

Hello again!
I have to admit that the reactions on my first posting have been a little bit disappointing to me. Unfortunately i didn't point out that my subject is a work in progress and first of all i was hoping to get some advice on my shading techniques. Today i want to post where i currently am - i changed the camouflage according to two photos of the aircraft i found on the internet and according to the sources Baron and pkassak gave to me; thank you very much for that. I also tried to give it a more realistic, worn out look to avoid the impression of a drawn image - i hope the techniques i used are working...
My drawing still lacks the right case ejection port for the MK 108 as i am still looking for photo reference material on this subject. It also lacks the armoured glass on the side front windows and some more maintenance markings, but don`t forget: it's still a WIP.
Nice profile of my favourite bird.![]()
hi mate,
just one little point, one i might add is also found on lots of profiles on here!!!!!! your underwing markings need to follow the wing surface curve, not flat as they are now, other than that it ain't bad, you could darken your 74/75 on the fuselage spine, it's just a little light in my opinion.
