Actually Pikas, there's a canopy frame there so it would appear as Herr Huber has shown it. Great work and truly beat up and used. I love it!

Yep, I noticed it late on...so exclude the canopy from deleting the "Otterlines", uups outerlines

Hi Björn!
In Flugzeug Archiv Band 12 is an amazing set of photographs of this plane. Many in really bad quality. When it was found it had no engine covers but an ETC (damaged). It seems that US troops "rebuilt" the plane from spare parts. So I have no idea if the engine covers are really the original ones when the plane flew with JG 4.
Cheers, Simon
Ironically i found this book in my book shelf after JM had send me the pictures here. Indeed one of the pictures shows the back part of the aerodynamic cover of a ETC but i decided to draw the plane like it was run by the american troops for tests. I think the engine cover was taken from another plane as its camouflage doesn't fit with the rest of the cowling.
Best regards:
Björn
Herr Huber, I don't think anyone is suggesting you copied my work. You've never seen it, so how could you? You were offered advice from not only myself but others which you greatfully and graciously accepted. As a result, you have produced a work of genius that is entirely by your hand. Well done mein Freund!
I agree, I was not aiming at you and your drawing beying copy. I was just giving outerlines funny name after Otterkins2 (no offense Otterkins2). You have to agree, he is Da Masta of lines here![]()
relaxIt is nice profile...
